When I was out of graduate school, but not yet graduated, I bought Love Medicine and Miracles. In that book, Bernie mentioned Dr. Al Siebert, a researcher into The Survivor Personality. Because of that reference, I contacted Al, and he literally mentored me through my dissertation and became a great supporter of my work with dreams and intuition. So I am already indebted to Dr. Seigel, as are so many! Please keep in touch. I have a special place in my heart for writers like you! Thank you Cindy! Last night I tried your method of writing a question after describing the day's events. I usually "lose" my dreams before I can write them down and rarely remember more than one dream, but last night I remembered three in great detail. When I followed your suggestions, I was amazed at how much wisdom came through, and today, when I finished writing the chapter, I included a paragraph that referred to my experience, inspired by your book. What I wanted to hear at some point in the conversation is what you are touching upon: death as part of a natural cycle, of healing and cleansing for the soul, and how death is hardly the first encounter one will have with spiritual cleansing. Hearing that people are studying and working with animals on this level is so reassuring. Reassuring that the world is moving in this direction that addresses the things that we can't see. I'd suspected it possible but had no idea how to even try to communicate with my animals. And I felt silly even giving it thought until I listened to this episode.
